Here's the deal:

Does life ever seem to slip away from you? Sure has for me lately. Between sick children, an incredibly busy hubby, and life as we know it, I have neglected this blog. And I have done some pondering about WHAT I am to be doing at THIS time in life. Right now I need to be focusing more on my little family's well being than trying to make it in the craft blogger world. As much as I LOVE to do crafty things and make/sell items, now is not the time. Believe me, I struggled with this realization for like six months, I had worked for three years to get this bug going and it never really soared, but my family was taking a hit in the process. In saying that, I am not ready to give it up entirely. I have decided to make this my "I wanna craft this", "This is what I crafted", "Check this out!" blog. I will TRY to post more regularly, but I may just post a few links to some way awesome craft ideas/blogs. And if you have a craft idea, PLEASE share it with us! (Ok, let's face it, there really aren't that many that view this blog, but that's ok, we can still share!) You can either comment or shoot me and email at katescraftcorner@yahoo.com with your ideas/pictures/suggestions.

So, for my first "Check this out!" post....

Couponing!
Huge HUGE fan.
My dear sisters introduced me to it at the beginning of the year and boy has it saved us a lot o'money my friends. PLUS I get this crazy kick out of how much did I save/spend/get. For example:
One Monday I went to our local Albertsons. Between stacking coupons and shopping the deals, I was able to get 16 boxes of cereal, 2 bottles of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ, 1 Roll Bounty P. Towels, a 4 pk of Activia yogurt, 2 packs of Danimals Yogurts, and 2 Danonino Yogurt packs for....drum roll............ $9.30. AND I got ripped off a dollar but chose not to fight it. What it should have cost? $85.30ish. Made me happy! There's just something about it that I get a rush over. Silly, I know.
Over the next little bit I will talk more about couponing, but for starters, check out http://www.athriftymom.com/ - she has all of the basics already posted, plus posts where/when to find the best deals. Happy shopping everyone!

  1. It's good to hear from you at least! Let me know if you ever need help in the future to get your site out there.
Glad you're not getting rid of the site entirely.
