Hemming Pants

I love finding good deals. The other day I found Old Navy's 50% off clearance racks. They were good to me. I found this pair of pants. Only there was one problem...or 4. Inches that is. Too long. So how do you hem pants? Easy watch this:

Find a pair of pants that you like the length of and lay them over your new pants.

Then trim the ends leaving about an inch extra. Once you get one side done, use the scrap as a pattern to make sure you get the same length off of the other side.

Then roll your hem up about a 1/2 inch and then another 1/2 inch. Pin every few inches to hold it in place.

Then sew close to the top part of the roll all the way around. TIP: Start and stop sewing by the inside seam of the pant leg. That way if you happen to not sew/line it up perfectly when meeting it doesn't show as much.

Do that for the other leg and your finished! Told you it was easy!

My little helper. Teething isn't so fun for her. She has become my little shadow. :o)

My finished product:
