Crown Braids

Alright. I admit I am not the best multi tasker. I can't take pictures while holding hair at the same time. Especially while trying to do a 2 year olds hair. Sorry just doesn't work. So here goes the best I can do explaining with finishing pictures.
Crown Braid:

Start by parting the hair down the middle and sectioning it off in two parts. Start off braiding like normal until you get just past the crown of the head, right where the braid starts to go down the back. Then pull out the elastics that secioned the hair and continue braiding, only this time just grab hair mainly from the bottom of the head. So I braid a few pieces then pick up a top strand just to hold it up. once you get to the other side of the head, start your normal braid going back towards the front. Put it in an elastic and add a bow!

A twist to crown braid:

Part hair in about 2 inches all the way around head. Put and elastic in the middle round section. Then make a part in the front somewhere and start braiding from there until you get right behind her ear. Then start the other side (in the front) and braid until you meet the other braid. My DD hair started to fly away so I just french braided it a bit and then finished that section with a regular braid to meet the other side. (See pictures) Then take all of the hair and put it into a side pony. CUTIE PIE!

Another variation:
Two horizontal braids. Part hair from top of one ear to the next. Braid top half and then bottom half tying the bottom into the top at the end.
